Richard Hardy-Bishop -- hard man?
I was swapping emails with Kingsley Cox and he mentioned two people:
1) Graeme Holmes -- I know he went in TV/film production but haven't heard from him in 14/15 years.
2) In response to me mentioning Richard Hardy-Bishop as someone in our year that maybe had dropped off people's radars, Kingsley says he remembers him because "once he bashed Birrell's head into the ground over and over again." And I remember his as a reasonably mild-mannered guy who was on my table for A Level maths!!
So the question is -- Richard Hardy-Bishop -- hard man or not?

1 Comments:
1) Last time I saw Graeme we were careering down the Old Kent Road in search of silver spray paint to complete the construction of a Cyberman for Roger Bartley's 23rd birthday! Maybe we'll try a Dalek next time!
2)As a relative late-comer to cycling and committed "hairy", I seem to remember that RH-B was a committed "shaver" (and very good rider) back in the day when male usage of hair-removal products was not quite as de rigueur. Maybe Birrell impugned his manhood or suggested he should use Immac instead, prompting RH-B to respond in such fashion?
Perennial question amongst the "shaved" brethren - how far does one go?
