Charlie Journeaux - He's On The Piste
Wondering what Charlie Journeaux is up to? Well, he's recently finished doing up a chalet in the French Alps, which is now available for weekly hire.
The chalet business, run by Charlie's partner, Rosie, is called Boutique Ski, which, if you say it really quickly, sounds like a Russian retail outlet.

Boutique Ski
and, of course, if you go and stay there, let us know what the delicious-sounding food is like! Yum...
And check out the actual name of the domicile -- Chalet Orgueil. Ahhh yes, eh?

What's with the "homely cusine"? Spelling never was Charlie's strong suite.
What's with the SUITE? Three piece or bathroom, I wonder. Cusine, cuisine or food - it's still great, so come and visit! Watch out for new website. No typo's next time round. (submitted by Charlie's wife, Rosie, not partner as previously assumed)
Ooh, nice riposte, Rosie!!
Let us know when the new website is up, and we also want to hear from anyone that HAS visited and tasted the wonders of the Journeaux kitchen.
No assumption intended in 'partner' reference. A partner can be married or not in my book, but I take the point.

We definitely need more Jersey guests this season - ones who can report back on the chalet and the food! We'd be delighted to offer "Old Boys" a good discount on next season's prices, and will let you know, Ray, when new site is up and running. Hope to get a hot tub in time for the winter too!
New website up and running! Have a look. This season we're trying to promote long weekends and different changeover days to the usual Saturday or Sunday. Much cheaper flights and lots of people seem to want the flexibility of weekday changeovers or holidays of fewer days than the normal seven. Discounts for "Old Boys."
Nice one Charlie. Good luck to you and Rosie. Might not make it this coming season - we're going to give the local "resorts" a try - but if Glenshee doesn't deliver then Morzine here we come.
PS You can't beat a bit of scrummy cake with your afternoon tea!
Thanks for kind words Al. First big downfall of snow this week, and lifts open in Les Gets this weekend. Official start of the season is 15 December, but until then some weekend lift openings are likely in Morzine too. Promoting flexible holidays and midweek breaks this season. So if anyone has a few days free, do come and stay with us!
CALLING ALL JERSEY RESIDENTS!
We're offering fantastic bargains for January 2009. £399 per adult, reduced from £519! Arrive/depart any day of the week. We have loads of guests from Yorkshire and the Home Counties, but none from Jersey - come on guys take advantage of this wonderful offer and come and see us here in Morzine. We had a huge downfall of snow last night and this winter season looks set to be a brilliant one! Charlie would love the chance to go on the slopes with old school friends too.
