Long time no blog...
As mindless as ever, I neglected to mention my two-week holiday without Internet access, a welcome break that has sadly come to an end. 16 days in Northern Ireland might not sound like the holiday choice of many, but it was excellent -- even the notoriously bad weather (even in August) stayed away.
I did think of some of the old Jersey crew whilst there, as we visited the Giant's Causeway, a geological landmark of note and one studied (I'm sure) in Geography A level classes and at the Geology AO extra course I attended for a while. (I packed it in but others, such as Guy Webb and Andi Meades, stuck it out I think.)
Anyhoo, it's nearly September, the football season is back, the Christmas ephemera is in the shops, and a mind-boggling number of emails await.
Let's have some comments!! Anyone else go away this summer?

Summer, wot summer? We've just had winter! And not a good one at that. A record-breaker in fact - the driest!! And August, the warmest for 130 years - bear in mind a southern hemisphere August is broadly the equivalent of a northern Feb. Who'd have thought an expat Brit would be asking for more rain!
On matters pertaining to the Rock, Rog has recently acquired some great blog material I think he should be sharing with us. I've got "Martello on my mind"!
